A Rainbow of Shenanigans and Blog Hop Winners

Happy Monday!
It's the first day of Spring!
We made it through Winter! Yay!!!

Kelly has been doing some really cool things with Shenanigans lately.
She's got a set of cards using the big sentiment and precise measurements.

Aren't these cool?

She stamped this one repeatedly 9/16" off the previous stamped image

On this one, she made the sentiments overlap (every 5/16") to get a blurred effect, so you get the idea of "birthday" but it's not easily readable.

Each one is a little different but equally cool.
Such a fun way to add lots of color to your card!

Thank you to everyone who joined our Calling All Sistahs blog hop!
It was a lot of fun and we all appreciate the wonderful comments you left for us.

I've got a few winners to announce!

Calling All Sistahs! It's March 17th!

Calling All Sistahs!

It's the 17th of the month and I'm here to remind you!!
It's all about that early detection!
Please do your self breast exam and schedule your mammogram if you're due for it.

Before we start our Sistahood hop
I want to share with you the letter I received recently from
It made me super happy and even though it's addressed to me,
it's really meant for all of you.

Hi Michele,

I hope you're having a great day!

I have some exciting news to share with you...

We have hit ONE in we have provided one million breast cancer early detection screenings and patient navigation services to those in need. That's one million times that:
  • someone who needed a mammogram, but couldn't afford one, was able to get the screenings needed to help detect her breast cancer earlier or even just give her peace of mind;
  • a patient who didn't know where to turn received guidance, a hand to hold, and help in understanding the next steps in her treatment plan;
  • a woman was provided access to critical resources like transportation vouchers, language translation services, and that she could focus on holding onto hope while facing breast cancer.
And we did this thanks to supporters like you. We are grateful to have been a part of giving vital help and real hope to the women who received these services, but YOU helped us get there. NBCF has been around for 25 years and we're just getting started. We hope to provide the next one million services even faster...but big numbers only tell part of the story. The lives changed are the real reason we are committed to helping people through every step of their breast cancer journeys.

Thanks for helping us hit this one million mark. We look forward to partnering with you to help us hit the next one million.

With appreciation,

Candice Boeck
Donor Relations Manager
National Breast Cancer Foundation

1 million.

Every single of one of you who have purchased a set from the

has helped to make this happen.
I donate 50% of the profits from each set sold to

and I'm so happy to do it.
Every little bit helps
and I want you to always remember that
it's far worse to do nothing because you thought you could only do a little.
I knew when I started this that I could only do a little but I believed that little would really matter.
Our little, combined with lots and lots of other littles, has made a really big difference!

On that happy note, let's start the hop!
I'm joined today by my Girl Friday Ink Squad Team
and a few amazing friends from blogland who are here to help spread the word about
the importance of early detection and taking care of ourselves.
We hail not only coast to coast in the US,
but also Canada, Germany,  India, New Zealand, UK, and more!
We may be thousands of miles apart but we are all sistahs.
Your sistahs!

Happy Wednesday!

Do you know the very best reason to send a card?
Nope it's not birthday
Nope it's not graduation
Nope it's not any of the holidays
it's just because!

created a cute and colorful just because card that would
brighten anyone's day.

She stamped a simple sentiment from Loving Thoughts
and then
dressed up the bottom of the card by adding a fussy cut layer of Starlequin
that she embossed and watercolored.

Then she used the same idea for this cutie that uses a sentiment from

Who wouldn't love to receive a card like one of these?
It certainly makes you feel like a million bucks when someone takes the time to send you a card
just because.

I've got a Design Team Call that just started yesterday!

containing restocks of
Sassy Smiles
Wait For It
Full On Floral
They are flying off the shelf!!
If you want one of these awesome sets, run to the store now to get it!

got inky with
Full On Floral with Butterbows

Here's what Kimberly said about her design process:
I stamped the butterflies directly onto the Full On Floral background and then fussy cut another set of butterflies, added some shading and creased and adhered them along the middle so their wings lifted up.

Super pretty!
I love the Full On Floral done in black and white.
I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Yay for a Cascade of Golden Flowers!

Happy Thursday!

What would you say to golden flowers?
Perhaps Yay?

will have you exclaiming Yay when you see her card!
She got inky with Friendly Flowers dies and Exclamation stamps...

Gold embossing powder and randomly cut flowers equals super awesome golden flowers!

I love the dark splatters and the randomly placed sequins!
Isn't it pretty how she cascades the flowers down the front of the card?

I also love the completely white flowers at the bottom.
This card is so pretty and fresh.
Would make a great birthday, bridal or even graduation card!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

There is no limit to your awesomeness

Happy Tuesday!

Today's card is full of color and joy.
got her ink on with Starlequin and Mon Ami
The wonderful colors remind me of a beautiful sunset!
Here's what Jeanne said about her creative process:
I stamped the Starlequin border with Versafine ink on watercolor paper and then colored wtih distress inks in Worn Lipstick, Picked Raspberry Festive Berries, Orange Marmalade and Squeezed Lemonade. The Mon Ami Flower was stamped and colored the same way.

Hot Flashes and Tic Tac Toe

Happy Sunday!

came up with a cute and clever way to use the Tic Tac Toe Fri-Die...

Isn't that fun?
She cut it out from black cardstock
and used it to make a fun background with cute colors of ink!
I love that sentiment from Frankly'isms embossed in gold.

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Can't Resist Embossing and Distressed Inks

Happy Saturday!

As you are reading this I am Miami bound!
Looking forward to sticking my toes in the sand and eating at a few amazing restaurants.
That's how hubby and I did our honeymoon 20 years ago, we rolled from restaurant to restaurant and tried to find stuff to do while we were waiting to get hungry again, LOL!
Old habits die hard and we'll be doing the same thing on the weekend of our 20th anniversary :)
That reminds me,
All orders placed through Friday afternoon have been shipped.
Orders placed over the weekend will not ship until Thursday when I return to CFS Headquarters :)

Today's card from
is really sweet.
She got inky with her distress inks and Special Delivery to create this!

Here's what Lisa said about creating this cutie...
I used the Special Delivery Stamp set to stamp and emboss with in a masked area. Leaving the mask in place I went over the embossed area with distress inks. Finally, I stamped one envelope onto white cardstock, colored in the heart and added stickles. This was fussy cut and added to my background with foam adhesive. The sentiment was stamped in the lower right corner before the panel was adhered to a black panel.

I hope you all enjoy your weekend!
I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)

Opposites Attract

Happy Thursday!

Today is a very special day for me...
20 years ago today, I married my sweetie!
I can't believe how quickly time has passed...
When you're lucky enough to marry your best friend, the time passes so easy.
We've had so much fun together, built an incredible family and weathered life's curveballs.
It's a wonderful thing to love and be loved :)
We're starting our 3rd decade together! Woot!!

Today's card is perfect for this special occasion :)
made a clever color card using
Flower Power and a fun play on opposites

She used black ink over turquoise for her love panel
and then did just the opposite by stamping turquoise over black for her you panel.
Opposites attract!

Super cool!
You can have a lot of fun with your embossing powders and this cool color idea!

I hope you find some time to get your ink on today :)
I'd love to see your CAS-ual Fridays creations so please tag us!
